A musical tribute to Motown Records offered a medley of Motown hits performed by Henson as a supreme being, Boyz II Men, Chico Debarge, Johnny Gill, Estelle, Vita, Mike Phillips and Melanie Fiona.
Charlie Wilson, Chaka Khan, the beneficiaries of the symbols on the night were excellent, the prices in the musical honors.
Keith Sweat, Ginuwine, Raheem DeVaughn, Kandi Burress and Brian McKnight's homage to Charlie Wilson and The Gap Band with versions of their greatest hits, including paying "extraordinary" commitment and "For Your Love." After the awards, Wilson himself walked on stage for two songs: "Burn Rubber" by K-Ci & Jo-Jo and Bootsy Collins and "There Goes My Baby".
Erykah Badu, Melle Mel, Ledisi, Fantasia, Angie Stone, Chaka Khan honored with hits like "Through the Fire" and "Tell Me Something Good".
The evening also included skits, dance sequences and a return to the famous line trains struggle to the Council and Soul Soul Train. Monica, Tamia, Deborah Cox, Kelly Price were among the speakers.
All I can say whaaat? Essence.com reports that Grammy Award winner Toni Braxton and Keri Lewis of Mint Condition before husband have separated after eight years of marriage. The couple has two children.
